Oh Coronavirus!

Oh! What a dreaded disease!

Which mankind has never seen

From Wuhan, China it moved with ease

To Iran, Italy, USA, UK, Spain it has been.

It has come to our country India too!

To create havoc, panic and destruction

As here people suffer from different taboo

It is a time to ponder and not to look at another direction.

The second wave is more severe and devastating

More than three and a half lakhs people have lost their lives

The deficiency and black marketing of oxygen cylinders was frustrating

Thousands of dead bodies beside the rivers were made archives.

Lack of bed in hospitals and shortage of medicines were alarming

Everywhere it was clear that there was no proper strategy.

In fact, we were not prepared to face this calamity despite the warning

Indeed no one had thought that it would be such a great tragedy!

What could be more pathetic?

Lockdown of uncountable days

It is the best solution of this pandemic

But its new variants are making the future full of haze.

It seems that Covid-19 is from power unseen

As people have become unhygienic, inhuman and unjust.

Tyrant rulers are bombing and killing the innocents umpteen

Children are lying dead beside a bay wrapped in dust.

O mankind! Think to do something worth

Otherwise it would be difficult to live on this earth!
