CALL FOR SUBMISSION

 DAS LITERARISCH is a bi-annual peer-reviewed and international refereed journal of English Literary Studies and Creative Writing, both in print (ISSN 2454 -4647) and in e-format. The journal, a project of SHAHEEN: THE LITERATURE FOUNDATION, Gaya & Jamshedpur, aims to highlight the best researchers, scholars and creative writers. The online version of the journal is released twice a year on the website www.shaheenfoundation.co.in. The journal is published by Authors Press.

The journal is open to Creative Writing in English and Literatures in Translation. Poetry, Fiction, Non-fiction, Experimental Prose and excerpts from a Drama or a Novel or a Novella and Screenplays are welcome. Research papers related to English authors and texts, Literary Theory and Criticism, Literatures of other languages, Music/Film and Culture Studies are welcome. The journal is also open to Meta Criticism. Fresh insights and perspectives on Classics are also invited. We also invite article on English linguistics and ELT.

We invite your submissions for the JULY-DECEMBER 2021 issue of the journal latest by 31st October 2021. Ideally, research papers should not be less than five and more than eight A4 size pages. Long pieces up to ten pages, of exceptional quality, may be considered under special circumstances. All submissions should be composed in MS Word, double–spaced and typed in font Times New Roman in size 12 with a line spacing of 1.5. Follow the latest MLA format in referencing and formatting the papers. End notes and foot notes have to be avoided. Include your name, designation, affiliation, e-mail, current address, and phone number in the submission.

Submissions will undergo a two-tier evaluation. After being evaluated by the Editors or members of the Editorial Board; and based on their relevance to the pertaining field, uniqueness in ideas or the depth of critical thinking they will be sent for blind peer reviewing. The Editors, members of the Editorial Board and the esteemed Reviewers are fully empowered to edit and modify the articles in order to conform to the standards set by the journal. Submissions will be scanned using the latest plagiarism software. Anybody found guilty will be permanently banned. While sending the submissions the contributors must certify that their work is unpublished, original and free from any kind of plagiarism. They must also acknowledge that the submission has not been sent for publication elsewhere and will not be republished in future without proper consent of the editors.

We are running this journal on a no profit no loss basis. Hence we seek cooperation from our contributors. We neither pay nor ask for any amount from our contributors. The online issues will be available on the website of Shaheen: The Literature Foundation. One single contributory copy will be sent to the contributor. In case of requirement of more copies we request our contributors to contact our publisher i.e. Authors Press.

 Dr. S. M. Yahiya Ibrahim is Head, Department of English, Karim City College, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. With a teaching experience of 23 years he is quite active in the field of academic administration. He is looking after the Society for the Promotion of Art & Culture (SPArC), the literary and cultural forum of his college and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). He has a wide experience of almost sixteen years of working in the field of quality assurance and acted thrice as Coordinator during the NAAC assessments of his college. He has attended many national and international seminars, conferences and workshops and convened four UGC sponsored national seminars so far. He was the editor of The Discourse, an ISSN numbered refereed, bilingual quarterly journal of humanities and social sciences and presently the chief editor of Das Literarisch, a bi annual, peer reviewed, international journal of English creative writings and literary studies. Till date he has published three edited books and a good number of research papers. He is in to creative writing also and has published a few short stories in Urdu and Hindi. He is a member of the Board of Studies, Department of English & Cultural Studies, Kolhan University, Chaibasa, Jharkhand. He is in the panel of experts for National Translation Mission, Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysuru, Karnataka and also in the expert panel for the appointment teachers for the Ranchi/Jamshedpur cluster of Kendriya Vidyalayas.
